Brady Moke's cattle operation was started by his father, who purchased cows from the Bondview Dispersion and began raising bulls through private treaty. Brady and his siblings got more involved when their grandfather bought bottle calves for them, promising a registered heifer for their care. This marked the beginning of a family tradition in cattle farming.
The interview highlighted Angus cattle as the primary focus due to their superior maternal abilities, which are unmatched in terms of performance, style, and style of calves. Moke emphasized the breed's exceptional mothering qualities, udders, and structural improvements on feet.
The sale event, named the Moke Angus Production Sale, features 79 Angus bulls, 7 SimAngus bulls, and 12 open heifers, among other livestock. It begins at 1:00 PM at the Moke farm, east of Corsica. Buyers can participate online through DV Auctions, a method chosen for its ease and lesser demand on resources as opposed to traditional ring sales.
